"My Work on the Overview of all German parties"

I was in the group that had a “General overview of all German parties, present and past”. Our group members were Haitam Aldaij, Ryan Anderley, Kari Anderson, Dillon Anderson, Michael Neslund, Hannah Olson, and I (Ashley Ogaja).  We started off by getting everyone’s contact information.  Our group leader was Kari Anderson. She took the initiative to get everyone’s Gmail information and then email everyone a link to Google document. Then we all contributed by adding information about the German political parties to the Google document. We were attempting to do a general overview of the parties so we put key facts that we found such as when the party was founded, key leaders, and their views. I tried to add historic as well as current key facts about the parties that hadn’t been posted by any of the other group members yet. I looked through what information was added and then added what else I thought was important for people to know about each party.
The group was big so we were unable to find a time that worked for everyone to meet .We did most of our work individually, but I think it worked out very well for our group because we were able to communicate and add our research together with technology resources. We all made sure that we added our enough information about every party in a timely manner. My most helpful resources were Wikipedia and BBC. The topic was a little different than others because instead of just having one party to research on we had to do a general overview of all the German political parties. It was nice to learn a little bit about all of the parties and see how they have evolved over time.
The party I was really surprised about was the National Democratic Party of Germany also known as the NPD, it is the only neo-Nazi group that the government tried to ban but failed. The NPD is still represented in two out of the sixteen states in Germany. After doing the research on each of the German political parties if I had to support one of them I would choose the Pirates because even though they are disorganized and maybe a little bit confused about their views I like how they let everyone participate. They seem like the one party that is really for the people.
